Gregory Esayan, a phenomenally gifted musician from Russia, has worked with Silk for a few years now. He recently achieved a breakthrough with a 3-track EP ("One Way Ticket", "Forever Child", "Ararat") on our Arrival division, easily his most supported and widely appreciated release to date. His latest single, "Starman", is a tribute to Yuri Gagarin, the first person to journey into outer space.

A sparkling progressive breaks odyssey, "Starman" begins with clips of Yuri on his voyage. We also hear a variety of ethereal vocal clips and pads, which seem to reflect Yuri's awe-inspiring vision of the universe from outside the Earth's confines for the first time. A light breakbeat picks up steam, as starry synths and gorgeous piano melodies begin to paint vivid lead themes. The track deconstructs again in the main break, where the poignant piano evokes the great celestial splendor that Yuri was privileged enough to see with human eyes for the first time. The latter half of the track centers on a breathtaking theme, as the many midrange layers coalesce in beautiful harmony.
